Were you one of the many students to go to 4500 Woodland when your schedule said "WDL" only to find that they meant the new 4101 Woodland building.
You are not alone!
SGA has decided to help ease the confusion:
4101 Woodland - Mayes College - abv. "4101 WDL"
4140 Woodland - SHACC - abv. "FOR"
4500 Woodland - Classroom Building (College of Health Sciences) - abv. "WDL"
also
4100 Chester - Administrative Offices - abv. FOC
For a complete list of buildings and abbreviations see here.

New Student DVD Collection
USP students contributed money to set up a collection in the library of popular DVDs that students could borrow. Titles are now available for checkout on the 1st floor of the library, just to the right of the entry gate. The loan period is 7 days and, as always, requires your USP ID card. Thank your fellow students for thinking of you!!

Political Forum with Guest Speaker Kal Penn
Thank you to every one who came out to the event.
We had the best turnout of any SGA event EVER. There were more than 400 people in attendance, not to mention Kal Penn.
Kal talked about Barack Obama, and then did some Q&A.
Special thanks to all the panelists and everyone who volunterred to help with voter registration, ushering, videotaping and photography.
USP TV will be putting the event on air soon!!
If you have photos or video form the event, please send anything you have to sschaffer@mail.usp.edu so we can make a great big album.
Thanks again!

New SGA Office, Wilson Hall Room 218
Yes its true, it finally happened, SGA got a new office.
The Thrift Lounge is now one large space for the common use of SGA, CAB, IGC, and our committees. We will no longer need to use Student Affairs after hours, or take classrooms when others could be using them.
In exchange for this one large room SGA has opened up 3 smaller rooms (210, 211, and 213) that have been converted into "break-out" rooms, like the incredibly popular ones in STC. These rooms will not only provide more seating for students to study, but they will also have much more privacy when studying quietly, or when working on a group.
The SGA copy machine remains in the hall outside the computer lab, for organizations to use at their leisure.
We in Student Government truely hope that this new space, where we can all collaborate and work together, will strengthen our organization and all the students and organizations we support.
Stop by the new SGA office and receive a free USP hat!!

As you read in the last issue of the Advocate, the school has decided to change the domain of the university's webpage and email addresses from usip.edu to usp.edu.

Also note that the old webmail (@usip.edu) accounts will be shut down on Dec. 3rd 2007, so forward any important emails NOW!
If you have any quesitons please leave a comment or send an email to sga@mail.usip.edu

Prints from USP Account
Each year USP allocates $27 or 300 pages (black and white) to each student.
This year, due to increased printing requirements placed on students by various departments, all student accounts were set back to $27 in October of 2007.
Please remember that all black and white prints are $0.09/page and all color prints are $0.25/page campus wide.
If you attemt to print something and it does not work, write your name, student ID number, and the number of prints you lost on a piece of paper and leave it with a worker in the library.
If you have any concerns relating to this, please leave a comment of email sga@mail.usip.edu.

Should you find that you are still running low on prints you can go to Terry Reiley's office in Kline Hall and purchase more.
Note that it is not possible to print word documents from inside ANGEL, you need to save the file to the desktop or your "M Drive" and then print from Word.
